You can make that happen at the Oklahoma Environmental Training Center (OETC) located on the campus of Rose State College. We have been proudly training Oklahoma’s water and wastewater operators since 1975 when the Governor designated us as the OETC, the only organization to ever hold the title. Come train with us!

Sample Certification Plan
For Work In The Field:

D Water Class – 16 hours (2 days)

D Wastewater Class – 16 hours (2 days)
*Test and obtain D Level Certification/Operator’s License – Certified to go to work at entry level.
- 1 Year
After 1 year of licensed experience and 36 approved training hours, you can pursue:

C Water Class – 16 hours (2 days)
-
C Wastewater Class – 16 hours (2 days)
*Test and obtain C Level Certification/Operator’s License – Certified at a higher level/eligible for promotion
- 3 Years
After 3 years of licensed experience and 100 approved training hours, you can pursue:

B Water Class – 32 hours (4 days)

B Wastewater Class – 32 hours (4 days)
*Test and obtain B Level Certification/Operator’s License – Certified at a higher level/eligible for promotion
- 5 Years
After 5 years of licensed experience and 200 approved training hours, you can pursue:

A Water Class – 32 hours (4 days)

A Wastewater Class – 32 hours (4 days)
*Test and obtain A Level Certification/Operator’s License – Certified at a higher level/eligible for promotion

C Water Lab Operator – 32 hours (4 days)

- 6 Months
After 6 months of licensed experience and 64 approved training hours, you can pursue:

B Water Lab Operator – 32 hours (4 days)

*Test and obtain B Level Certification/Operator’s License – Certified at a higher level/eligible for promotion
- 5 Years
After 5 years of licensed experience, you can pursue:

A Water Lab Operator – 32 hours (4 days)

*Test and obtain A Level Certification/Operator’s License – Certified at a higher level/eligible for promotion
* Must test to obtain certification at each level
